National Textile University is a Federally Chartered Public Sector University imparting education in the field of textile for more than six (06) decades. The vision of the University is to be ranked among the best multi-disciplinary Universities of the country with flagship textile programs of international standard and to become a center of excellence in textile education and research.

The \’Rector Search Committee\’ appointed by the Board of Governors (BOG) of the University invites applications for the position of Rector, National Textile University, Faisalabad from highly accomplished and strongly motivated academic administrators. The incumbent will be the Chief Executive of the University in all fields of academics and administration and shall have overall responsibility for the organization and administration of the University in accordance with policies formulated by the Board.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Applicants must be a Professor (as per HEC Criteria) holding a doctorate from an HEC-recognized, reputed University, preferably in the field of Engineering, with a distinguished leadership profile in education, professional and academic administration.
• Applicants must have industrial knowledge and exposure in the field of textile, along with a holistic understanding of issues in higher education on national and international levels.
• Applicants must possess an understanding of the broad range of research, scholarship, and creative activities associated with a university, along with the vision and knowledge to advance the functions of the University, including human resource development for leadership in society and economic growth.

AGE:

• Applicants should not be more than 65 years of age on 25th September 2024.

TERM OF APPOINTMENT:

• The Rector shall be appointed for a period of four (04) years and will be entitled to a salary package equivalent to a Professor on the Tenure Track System. All other privileges and allowances currently admissible to Rectors/Vice Chancellors of Public Sector Universities in Pakistan will also apply.
