The Government of Pakistan has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Digital Economy Enhancement Project (DEEP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services, which shall be implemented by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The consulting services (“the Services”) include professional expertise of Infrastructure Specialist at a monthly lump sum remuneration. National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) being Project Implementing Unit (PIU) intends to hire services of Infrastructure Specialist for DEEP that can assist the project management in relevant field. The consultant, as an expert in the field, will provide required services maintaining highest degree of integrity and ethical standards. The services of individual consultant shall be initially hired for a period of one year, extendable depending upon the requirement of the project and performance of the consultant.

National Database and Registration Authority being project implementing unit invites eligible candidates (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services as Infrastructure Specialist in Digital Economy Enhancement Project. Interested Candidates should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the expected Services. The short listing criteria are: (i) BS/BE (4 Years) degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecom or equivalent field from Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized University (Masters degree in related field will be preferred). In case of foreign degree, equivalence shall also be required from HEC (Master degree will be preferred). Proficiency in system, virtualization, storages, backup softwares and disaster recovery strategies. (ii) At least 7+ years of experience in system storage, virtualization, backups recovery, linux and unix. Candidates with proven experience in Software Defined storages shall be preferred. (iii) Must have expertise in Troubleshooting Linux, Unix, complex computing platforms, storage systems and cutting-edge technologies involving virtualization, distribution, and high availability. (iv) Experience of working with Government and public sector projects is preferred. (v) Strong problem solving, analytical and technical skills.

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Open Competitive Selection of Individual Consultants method set out in the Procurement Regulations.
